This shirt is one of the most unique pieces in the Iron Heart FW26 collection, combining a hefty indigo-dyed Japanese Kersey cloth with our military-inspired silhouette. Kersey fabrics originated in medieval England, where they were characterised by a tightly structured twill weave. This particular Kersey cloth is woven using ring-spun, indigo-dyed, slubby yarns, resulting in a highly textured fabric that fades quickly and with high contrast. This further highlights the three-dimensional structure of the weave. If you’re a fan of made-to-fade fabrics, just imagine a cross between heavyweight dobby cloth and indigo denim.
